Growth On Earth

Bones ache, muscles torn from inside myself
Years gone, within barren wasteland, I grew
Many dreams, hopes, innocent things I slew
Longer, longer still, further we all delve
Feet broken, cut, road uneven, tripped, fell
Many miles have been walked, yet more to grow
Faster, faster, a wish to become slow
Everyday, wish to escape and yell

Crack, crack, ground beneath, rumbles and crumbles
Forward and onwards, now shall I stumble
Body nestled perfect inside a groove
So much so that one can hardly move
Looking up I see the freedom of the air
Something it seems she doesn't wish to share
