Good Bad Dream

From the balcony I wait
Looking down onto the garden
I see that they wait too
Biding time until she arrives.

Like the soft wind, she enters
As if born of the land herself
And strolls through addressing each
Pollinating with her presence.

All life in the garden follows
As do my eyes
Only my chains keep me bound
From leaping down into her arms.

The chains taut and bloody shackles
I've strained before, defeated hang
Deformed and ugly
Distraught and unworthy.

Beauty flowed out of sight
The flowers humbled and I,
I weep in my joy
Another memory she made in me.

Draco appears, whip in hand
With slippery tongue and hiss
Tempting me with torture asks
'Will you watch again tomorrow?'

'Yes'

Evil joy in his eyes
Uncoil his bloody tool
Every strike a cure for life
Lacking only shame and grace.

Blood lubricates marble floor
My pain becomes my rest
And in dreams my only hope
She doesn't know I'm there.
