A shattered heart

I knew you for almost two years
But i never told you how
I felt about you
I say i love you but
Not knowing what
Your answer is
Is breaking me apart
I stand in the darkness
Knowing that i should
Have not said
I love you
All i can do now
Is hope you feel the same way
Even if you don't
I hope we can be the same
As we were before
While i wait for the answer
