Seasons of love

The twilight of fall
Reminds me of first love
Driving around in his truck
Laying next to him
In the bed of it
Staring up at the sky
And talking about out life
And where we'll go
And who we'll be

Gloomy winter mornings
Remind me of you
Laying in my bed
Watching the news
Making jokes of fluff stories
Talking about conspiracies

Sunny spring afternoons
Reminds me of him
Going to the park
And just talking
Smoking a blunt and laughing
Being able to stay in that moment forever
Wanting to never go back
Never wanting anyone in our two man circle

Warm summer nights
Remind me of her
Drinking until 4 in the morning
Making choices under the influence
Of liquid courage
Laughing, crying and screaming
Due to the poison I was ingesting
Revealing more than I'd like about myself
To this one person
