Lights
Not that i was afraid to love you,
i just want us to be there again,
i can still feel this city below,
our last beer knows the truth,
and i still go there in my dreams,
those nights made me free...
You know i am not afraid to die,
that without you i would not hesitate,
you fell asleep in my tears,
our alcoholic friend laughs at why,
and i still lay there when i shut my eyes,
upon these.... nights...
I could look at all the lights,
and feel you look through my eyes,
i could believe we can never die,
i could believe that you love me,
these nights made me free...
My clothes are torn and drunk in liquor,
and i can't find the beginning of this hangover,
and somewhere i heard that death is not the end,
i found a bottle that slept the summer we broke and a photo that took it all away,
so i lost it somewhere, in those lights....
i just want us to be there again,
i can still feel this city below,
our last beer knows the truth,
and i still go there in my dreams,
those nights made me free...
You know i am not afraid to die,
that without you i would not hesitate,
you fell asleep in my tears,
our alcoholic friend laughs at why,
and i still lay there when i shut my eyes,
upon these.... nights...
I could look at all the lights,
and feel you look through my eyes,
i could believe we can never die,
i could believe that you love me,
these nights made me free...
My clothes are torn and drunk in liquor,
and i can't find the beginning of this hangover,
and somewhere i heard that death is not the end,
i found a bottle that slept the summer we broke and a photo that took it all away,
so i lost it somewhere, in those lights....
