Backpacker
Moving somewhere out there
To a place where I can flee
in the shadows where I’m most comfortable
Where I’m supposed to be
Cuz i can’t handle the looks of people
on their sick disgusted face
their poor judgement,
i’ve now given up,
at trying to change their pace
at which their thoughts are moving
the way they criticize
they don’t know what they’re doing
they’ll never see me cry
But I can’t hold much longer
I’m slowly losing strength
I’m a boy who holds no power
So i must go away
I just wanna be lost
with no way of being found
They say your biggest regrets
draw the deepest of your frowns
But this move’s now long delayed
I must dodge their awful words
I can leave this town tonight
And vomit the words deterred
The faint streetlights will guide me
to a safe and quiet place
No face out there will recognize
I’ve left without a trace
I’ll fill my backpack heavy
I’ll leave this town tonight
My fears will soon asphyxiate
I’ll no longer have to fight
To a place where I can flee
in the shadows where I’m most comfortable
Where I’m supposed to be
Cuz i can’t handle the looks of people
on their sick disgusted face
their poor judgement,
i’ve now given up,
at trying to change their pace
at which their thoughts are moving
the way they criticize
they don’t know what they’re doing
they’ll never see me cry
But I can’t hold much longer
I’m slowly losing strength
I’m a boy who holds no power
So i must go away
I just wanna be lost
with no way of being found
They say your biggest regrets
draw the deepest of your frowns
But this move’s now long delayed
I must dodge their awful words
I can leave this town tonight
And vomit the words deterred
The faint streetlights will guide me
to a safe and quiet place
No face out there will recognize
I’ve left without a trace
I’ll fill my backpack heavy
I’ll leave this town tonight
My fears will soon asphyxiate
I’ll no longer have to fight
