It immediately made me think of the bombings of Hanoi ... And that iconic picture of that naked Vietnamese girl running and crying down the middle of the road

I've never even thought about the bombings of Hanoi. This was supposed to be about taking an innocent thing, such as children playing in the field, and turning into not such an innocent thing. But thank you!

I came back to this because I needed it as a springboard for a larger project I'm working on. ... I'm doing a 20 minute set as a featured poet in a show, and your piece took me to a place I need to be for the opening ... Thank you
