Change doesn't Change
When we stopped talking
I stopped writing;
A past refection of myself
gone into hiding;
A defining piece of me
I haven’t shown in years,
But It holds on beside me;
That holds onto her
and I won't leave behind me;
All that mattered to me
is seeing her happy;
And when I saw
how happy
with life she was,
I let life be
I stepped back;
Backed off;
Looked forward;
And stepped away;
A decision I regret
Ever since;
And every day;
It won’t change;
Or dissolve;
Evolve;
Or restrain;
I still miss you
You know;
My love
will remain;
From day one
To two months;
And years;
Till today;
My heart
Is for you;
And for you
Has always
stayed the
Same
