Paradise In Solitude

Cradled by these slipping shadows
in solitude I am dead to this life.
My diminshed saturnine existence
has became a lucid paradise.

Whispered screams escape from the inside
carving a path within my sepulchral state.
Bedeviled by a sedated piteous misery
a concoction of my own maniacal mind.

These evanescent moments spent in solitude
have given me a persistent escape.
A place where I dictate my own dreams
abiding in a kingdom solely for myself.

A place to reside without fear
and no need for those so called gods.
My self made Shangri-la
where I find immortal peace.

To be somewhere in nowhere
that is where I linger.
Foraging comfort within the eyes of darkness
and I am still here.
