Go Lie Down
I close my eyes and I can see you.
It could be anybody.
The rain washes it all away.
Perfect body. Perfect mind.
I can't see your face.
I can't see your face.
You are everywhere.
I am nothing.
I can see you, walking down the street,
or at the laundromat.
You unman me.
Reprimand me.
Hold me in contempt.
Just hold me.
You're not there.
Shotgun to the brain.
Wrists slit,
blood down a drain.
You're not here.
God it's cold.
It could be anybody.
The rain washes it all away.
Perfect body. Perfect mind.
I can't see your face.
I can't see your face.
You are everywhere.
I am nothing.
I can see you, walking down the street,
or at the laundromat.
You unman me.
Reprimand me.
Hold me in contempt.
Just hold me.
You're not there.
Shotgun to the brain.
Wrists slit,
blood down a drain.
You're not here.
God it's cold.
