Blanket Of Death

I wear the blanket of death
It seems to always encompass me
Whereever I go
Whatever I do
I always drag the frindges along the ground
For someone to trip on

I feel people see it draped on me
They seem to get out of my way
And turn their heads
Hoping to avoid being caught in my wind
And have a fiber land on them

Oh how I loathe you, wretched mantel
Your ever poison, your bleakness and murders
How you make me run to you
I hug you like a long lost love
Never wanting to let go
Crying a lake of perpetual hate for you
For being so cold, empty and wanting

You know all the parts of my soul
The dark places
The hidden things
The loud whispers in the night

Let me hold you and never let go
Let my eyes bleed out to your soul
Let my lungs dissolve to dust
My heart fill with worms
And my brain decay
If I ever forget you

Let me eat at your knowledge
Let me feast on your wisdom
You are one of few who has never left me
O’ blanket of death
