'Firebrande'

i can taste you within the
black flame burning in my mind.
the beast within needs to
feed upon and feel your touch.
your very flesh drives me insane
as darkness whispers life to my soul.
a bittersweet ache is all that remains
turning to wretched pain
your tongue caressing my spine
I know now it is all in vain...

i have crept to you in silence,
baby, i came to you in pain.
all of this to bring the devil closer
adding lightning to the flame.

you know the temptation of my mouth
and how it fits you like a glove.
tasting acceptance and understanding
a sweet nectar rapes my tongue
as you drip your darkest affection
we are one within this flame.
call my name, heathen god
make my skeletons fade to gray.
paint me the deepest shade of red
chasing the shadows back to the plain.

and when you sing your throaty moans
the swell shatters to prismatic light
i bite my lip, a trickle of pride escapes
sharing my soul, sealing my fate.
hands upon hips, fingers digging in
like a victim from an early grave
my heart dies within your flame
extinguished, loving you to death.

all of this in hopes of bringing the devil closer
adding his lightning to the flame.
