Costume makes the clown

deafened by the silence. this is who i've become.
surrounded by your memory, your face is all around.
your voice i hear inside my head, my conscience can't be found.
lock me away, and throw away the key.
left alone to fight the demon, that lives inside of me.
you think that your the victim, but your the reason for this mess.
flooded by the tears i've cried, forgotten happiness.
concealed behind these walls, that are falling down on me.

standing in a crowd, but i've never felt so alone.
broken from the strain, that's turning me to stone.
