Overcoming Mountains

Pure randomness
with a stroke of good luck,
he crossed my path.
Love at first sight.
Those who don’t believe,
should really reconsider.
He opened my eyes to what
true perfection actually consisted of.
Over days, weeks, months,
we grew together as one.
Through all the ups and downs,
he stayed true; he kept me going.
He didn’t realized my tears
were tears laced with joy,
a joy I’ve never had before.
Through all the forces tearing us apart,
we stayed strong; we couldn’t be parted.
He was my perfect therapy.
He was my saving grace,
saving me from the demons and monsters
of my past.
I’m sorry you fell for a girl
with so many issues.
One day it was all gone,
gone like the wind.
And now my valiant knight
is crumbling beneath his armor.
His already beaten and bruised heart,
is ripped and torn to pieces.
Will somebody save him?
Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
In this case,
distance has made the heart grow weaker
and weaker until it stops.
Don’t let his heart stop.
For then what will be left for me?
I will love him,
truly, unconditionally, perpetually.
As long as he’s living,
my baby he’ll be.
One day he will be back in my arms,
safe and sound.
For whenever I can again,
I will save him from his monsters and demons.
