Sell Your Soul
Stuck out on a limb
You hung me out to dry
Twisting, Turning in the wind
Just trying to get by.
Giving me the blame
Churning out the lies
Point the finger, can’t you see
You’re just as dead inside.
Crying out for help
I see you scream in pain
Underhanded you lash out
Seems it’s all in vain.
Trying to not react
I refuse to give it strength
The monster rears its ugly head
Black heart exposed beneath.
Trying to cut my ties
So I’m alone like you
It’s not my fault you’re in that place
You could have left it too.
Now it is too late
And inside your all alone
With no one to reach out to
Left in your empty home
You scream that it’s not fair
That I’m the one to blame
Blind to your part in this
You quickly go insane.
Reality slips away
Life spins out of control
Nothing left to hold on to
It seems you’ve sold your soul.
You hung me out to dry
Twisting, Turning in the wind
Just trying to get by.
Giving me the blame
Churning out the lies
Point the finger, can’t you see
You’re just as dead inside.
Crying out for help
I see you scream in pain
Underhanded you lash out
Seems it’s all in vain.
Trying to not react
I refuse to give it strength
The monster rears its ugly head
Black heart exposed beneath.
Trying to cut my ties
So I’m alone like you
It’s not my fault you’re in that place
You could have left it too.
Now it is too late
And inside your all alone
With no one to reach out to
Left in your empty home
You scream that it’s not fair
That I’m the one to blame
Blind to your part in this
You quickly go insane.
Reality slips away
Life spins out of control
Nothing left to hold on to
It seems you’ve sold your soul.
