Eternity Box

tonight i laid my head down in my eternity box
took out the key and i turned the lock
trying to find something deep inside
to help me realize..

was it a dream, another hallucination?
both hands on my throat, i feel the air leaving
he took the gun and turned out the lights
i didnt even fight
just fell over as i siezed up tight

and i thought i saw a million golden stars
and i know it was real
maybe i'm just a dreamer
maybe someday i wont be forgotten
left out of eden

so i tucked away my soul into a matchbox
i gave it to you to see what you'd do
and out of my throat rose the fire
as you lit the fuse

devious little liar, under the earth i softly cry
he took me into a room of skulls
told me to look upon the rows
fastening my gaze, i saw my own head
mounted on a pike
i woke up calling out for you

and i thought i saw a million golden stars
and i know it was real
maybe i'm just a dreamer
maybe someday i wont be forgotten
left out of eden

so i rested my head on red velvet
the case is black, glossy spit shine
my silly strife has found its end
goodnight

goodnight
i'm going back to dreamland
don't wake me, i like it there instead
i dont need a night light
just sing me soft lullabies

maybe someday you won't forget me
in my eternity box, you'll open your eyes
you'll finally realize
what you meant to me
