A New Years begins...

Still haven't properly dealt with the lost of my earth
Miss her beyond comprehension
 
Grew tired of seeing the simple thing slip from her grasp
She struggled to maintain her dignity  
It grew harder for her to realize that it was never lost
 
Lost one too many people this year but time is relative
 
          "No matter how far wrong you've gone,"  
                  "You can always turn around"  
 
Lost my way once or twice
but the path was/is always clearly marked
 
Rediscovered the simple things in life
Started a new relationship with lost loves
  not all ... just the ones that mattered
 
Inspired by those who've fallen
Learned to forgive those who've wronged me
 
I await the start of the New Year  
so that I may continue my development as a human being
 
Know why she loves me
Realized why I need her
Still trying to get her to put and keep her her guard down but
I understand why it's so hard
 
Lost a brother but made a life long friend
Worked out in my favor but it still saddens me
 
Two tattoos away from completing my story
 
Gained the respect of a few
Lost it for a few  
 
Family no matter how small is important
Nothing is built without a foundation
 
A three year old is schooling me daily
 
The negatives are a positive and the positives are a plus
Less really is more
 
A New Year begins
