Summer

Whether it’s at the beach or by the pool
You spend it having fun and out of school
Your skin gets darker and hair gets lighter
Nights get longer and stars glow brighter
There’s no rush, no where else you need to be
Just relax under the shade of a palm tree
Take pictures all day, you need to remember
What warmth is like when you reach December

I wish that summer would last forever
Those beautiful memories that we always treasure
The sun, the heat and perfect weather
Makes fun with friends better altogether

Watch the amazing sunset, see the bright rays gleam
Feel like the star straight out of a movie scene  
Kiss a boy and fall in love, have your fairytale moment
Become your true, confident self and defy everyone’s judgment  

Stay out all night and feel the windy night’s warm breeze
No rules, no regrets so enjoy and put yourself at ease
Find a clearing and lie in the grass then gaze up at the stars
If you had a shooting star, would you wish the end of summer was far?
