Fallen into an ABYSS

 Fallen deep into an abyss
yet no signs of despair
who cares?
No one
they all pass amused by the sight of
the fallen
they laugh
Mocked me
Am I a fool?
Who was I to think that they cared?
....When I was on my pinnacle
I looked down upon them
Now the tables have turned
I am a mere mortal of a shell
What I once use to be
A valued lesson learnt
The hard way....
Once up,
never scorn or look bad....
bad upon those under you
For one day, it's those that are under you
That will rise up
Like the seeds and pods,
Of the earth...... and rise
...standing tall.

I have learnt that lesson
But now it's too late
How can I redeem myself?
In the eyes of the people
Will they ever forgive me?
I pray from within my chasm
from the depths of my darken chamber
I was once a stalwart
given power to reign over the lands
But I have abused that power
now I ask for the people's forgiveness
As I am a shell ......
of what I once was of a Man..
