Christmas Tree - That Meaningful Day

Dad, are we going to have a real Christmas tree
Yes son, it is going to be you and me

So go and get everything loaded in the car
Because we have to go very far

And yes it was really far, mile after mile
But boy when we stopped I really started to smile

Because as far as I could see was nothing but trees
We walked and looked around and around
Until that the right tree was found

That tree was full and beautiful and about 15 feet tall.
Then dad said son go get out that ax
Because know it is time to let you take some whacks

Just look at me an learn to be careful
Because that ax is sharp and you need to be careful

So you look and learn
Because soon it will be your turn

I looked as take to the ax and went whack, whack
As it the tree it scared me and also gave a heart attack

Dads, said are you ready son
Because we have yet begun
I took the ax at whack at a few times and it fell down
Son on we did it, now it is time to get back to town

Well it took us a long while
To get us home, but all I could do was to smile

Because I knew it would be soon to decorate this tree
