A Smile.
A smile can send a spark
That spreads like a wildfire
Over a forest of desperation
And hopelessness.
A smile is the marigold.
The pink orchid, the sunflower
That becomes the source of life
After a long and unforgiving winter.
A smile will be reassurance
When things get rough.
The infectious rhythm,
And the sign of joy and elation.
