Black soul

My soul has been blackened,
My heart has been frozen and shattered.
Love and trust is hard to come by,
For me, it seems to be impossible.

I've tried to be the best i can be,
But to some people, it just doesn't suffice.
No matter how hard i try, it's never enough,
To please the ones I am to please.

Blood seeps from my body because of these people,
To harm myself is the only way to numb the pain.
This dead soul inside me will never shine again,
For these people, have made me shut down.

To the one person who started it all,
I thank you, for showing me i'll amount to nothing.
Thank you for this broken heart you gave me,
