Am I Her Father
You have a smart little girl
I'm sure her daddy is a happy man
You say she's smart like him
Can't help but wonder if I'm that man
What if she's mine?
I deserve to know
That's something you don't keep secret
I'm missing her blossom and grow
So much confusion
Do I really want to find out?
You've wondered since you were pregnant
You decided to take the easy route
You told him it was his
Maybe he thought otherwise
He loved you just as I did
And choose to not know if it's all lies
She looks nothing like him
Has a few features like you
But she sort of has my eyes
Same dimple on the right cheek too
She only knows him as her father
You're being selfish and unfair
To think I may have a daughter
Who'll never know how much I care
But I guess we'll never find out
She's becoming quite the young lady
Should you ever decide to tell her
I'll be sitting here ready
I'm sure her daddy is a happy man
You say she's smart like him
Can't help but wonder if I'm that man
What if she's mine?
I deserve to know
That's something you don't keep secret
I'm missing her blossom and grow
So much confusion
Do I really want to find out?
You've wondered since you were pregnant
You decided to take the easy route
You told him it was his
Maybe he thought otherwise
He loved you just as I did
And choose to not know if it's all lies
She looks nothing like him
Has a few features like you
But she sort of has my eyes
Same dimple on the right cheek too
She only knows him as her father
You're being selfish and unfair
