Writer's Block

Writer’s block has been looming over me for quite some time,
It’s like there’s not a single thought or idea in my mind,
Writer’s block, oh how I hate you,
Always preventing me from writing something new,
I’m sure, well I hope, I’ll think of something soon,
But I won’t find anything if you continue to loom,
If you would be ever so kind and vacate to a new individual,
Then maybe I can find and idea that’s mine and original,

I suppose for now, I’ll just live with you,
But you've been here for weeks and your departure is due,
I don’t want to sound cruel, but you’re currently restraining me,
Keeping me from writing, creating – can’t you see?
I simply want you to leave, even if it’s just for a while,
So I can create a new poem, be proud and smile.
