Not bad. Really don't have much negative to say. Except that I'm not crazy about all the periods. Because it makes it seem much more forced. Less natural and flowing. But that's a stylistic thing. So it's up to you.
Punctuation is a finicky thing; some people use a lot of punctuation, while others use little to none. And everyone has punctuation marks they use more often than others (some people load up their works with commas, while others are more into periods, dashes or ellipses), but the trick is not to overuse or underuse them. It's one of those things you get better at with time, so keep writing!
(P.S. it's spelled "sane," spell-check must have missed that one.)
