Lost...
He saw her across the room the lights were dim,
He doesn't know what's come over him,
Her eyes are aglow and a smile lights up her face,
If he didn't know any better he'd swear his drink was laced,
This girl she's like an angel sent down from above,
If some one had asked him about true love,
He'd say I have a virus and it came at first sight,
And the only thing to cure it is to embrace it and take flight,
He's drowning in all these feelings,
They're so strong that they leave him keeling,
He's fallen hard for the girl of his dreams,
His seizes his feelings bursting at the seams,
And he's going to trust her with his heart,
It's the only thing he has left he doesn't want it to fall apart,
After 3 years and 956 meals,
His dream is coming to life their feelings are becoming real,
He seals the deal with a ring of appeal,
And hopes their love will never unseal,
Their feelings grow stronger with each passing day,
They never run out of words they want to say,
They go together like lock and key,
Their love is springing up like a green beautiful tree,
It reaches towards the light and past all the clouds,
There's some turbulence but they get past all the frowns,
They had a baby boy who was 7 inches 9 pounds,
As their son starts to walk his first word is "train",
They love their son a lot and don't want to cause him pain,
But on the inside you can see that neither of them want to stay,
They're starting to argue more and their love is beginning to decay,
The rot is spreading and every day their love is a little more frayed,
They've begun to yell not sure how much more pain they can take,
They each are driving in the spiked and wooden stake,
3 years have passed and they barely speak at all,
They only talk at night when they're free to brawl,
They get loud at night so every one can hear,
They scream and yell they've forgotten that someone precious is near,
Just in the other room their 4 year old son,
Lies awake and listens to sound of his mom and dad having not so fun,
He begins to whimper and then to cry,
He hugs his stuffed teddy as the time passes by,
Eventually the house is quiet but the damage has been done,
"Mommy and daddy," the little boy said, "are done with not so fun,"
He fell asleep and the mom came in and sat down,
Next to her only son whom she kissed on the crown,
She started to cry and tried to mend,
All the cracked and broken pieces of her heart with glue and pain blend,
But it just made the pieces crumble and crack even more,
and if looked just right you could see a hole start to form,
"Mommy" she said "Is just about done,"
"Me and daddy have had too much not so fun,"
"Our time has come...for us to part ways,"
"Me and daddy you see, are at the end of our days,"
She begin to cry and held her son tight,
All she wanted was for him to be raised right,
So she kissed him on the cheek and sang one more lullaby,
Then she walked out of his life and forever said goodbye.
He doesn't know what's come over him,
Her eyes are aglow and a smile lights up her face,
If he didn't know any better he'd swear his drink was laced,
This girl she's like an angel sent down from above,
