Never Let Go
In such short time the years have passed
It still seems like yesterday that you took your last
Breath frosted on the glass no more
With your remains buried beneath the floor.
I still taste the tears on your lips
and see you face framed in the eclipse
Loving and nurturing my heart
Until fate decided to tear us apart.
And so now I kneel at your grave
Impatiently I await the day.
I hope you forgive what I've done
I never meant to hurt you.
If only I could turn back time
Then I would just hold you
And never let you go.
It still seems like yesterday that you took your last
Breath frosted on the glass no more
With your remains buried beneath the floor.
I still taste the tears on your lips
and see you face framed in the eclipse
Loving and nurturing my heart
Until fate decided to tear us apart.
And so now I kneel at your grave
Impatiently I await the day.
I hope you forgive what I've done
I never meant to hurt you.
If only I could turn back time
Then I would just hold you
And never let you go.
