Pesky Parasite

Parasite, oh parasite
you travel from host to host
in search of blood.
I don't want any kind of disease
so please don't come to me.

I want to live a long and healthy life.
So parasite, if you'd please,
go and leave me be.

I need my skin, my blood, and my hair.
It wouldn't be fair
to take that away.

Please go find another host.
Go and leave me be!


This was for my 10th grade biology assignment. To write a poem about a parasites, streams, or pollution. I chose to write one about parasites. What do you think?
