Tomorrow Is Another Day

Torn from the pages
and gone with the wind
Love's fire too blinding
to keep one's eyes skinned

Timing is everything
at first sight but a dream
Water through the cracks
dividing it at the seam

He said, she said
I love you out of sync
Tiptoed to the edges
procrastination at the brink

Bitter sweet memories
a taste to be acquired
Hearts still dance
long after the music expired

Faith and fear
never will they wed
Fire and water
too much left unsaid

Still the hearts beat
with such pitter-patter
Yet the eyes stay blind
to the crux of the matter

Lessons in tears
teaching their sweet sorrows
Dreams clutch tight
of hopes for better tomorrows
