The Sick October
The End, so suddenly it came.
Like a random rain.
The clouds churned, mixing the darkness.
Not a drop to satiate the Earth's thirst.
Cool chills make their way up my spine,
I shiver in spite of my strength.
Everything will be okay...
Reassurance coaxing my mind.
Step by step, I come closer to the sickness.
Although it's invisible, I can feel it in the distance.
Watching me, watching you, watching this resistance.
The pavement is clean and winding around the bend.
It's so windy I'm tumbling, but my feet never leave the ground.
The water hanging above my head, and yet everything feels so parched.
I feel faint.
Please, make it go away.
Everything will be okay...
