Trusting the Liars: Jerry's Poem
True, I deserve this
ruined palace I call home
useless words
stupid promises, broken
the walls that smother.
Loose tongues and spite
I weave in my web
empty windows reflecting
shadows in my eyes
True, I lie
rusted truth destroyed
unused
silent
the one you refuse
My impudence furies you,
Empty your soul.
Look me in the eye
I hate your essence.
all that you are
ruthless enemy, unworthy of opponent.
ruined palace I call home
useless words
stupid promises, broken
the walls that smother.
Loose tongues and spite
I weave in my web
empty windows reflecting
shadows in my eyes
True, I lie
rusted truth destroyed
unused
silent
the one you refuse
My impudence furies you,
Empty your soul.
Look me in the eye
I hate your essence.
all that you are
