Forgiveness
forgive this feeble attempt at capturing you
for a thousand notepads could be filled with heartfelt words and still not give you even a droplet of your morning's due.
forgive this wretched insanity, that gets in the way
of letting off the twist on the tip of my tongue
for what am I to do . where am I to escape???
from your intoxicating enchantment. wish your heart was my fate.
merely peckered your lips
but already convinced
that their sweet nectar was squeezed from the heavens o what I would do just for a sip...
of your juice my dear
your ways pummel the blackest clouds to submission (every raindrop... in your presence? just quivers in fear.
"I'd spend my soul to bring her peace, rest assured I would not mind......
was written in anticpation of someone such as thee
how can I be still? when I've never even seen
anything like your kind
They say angels are celestial beings. Able to assist the doomed with just a brush of their miraculous touch
this angel wasn't afraid to wake up a monster
maybe now you can understand why I like you so much.
heard this song playing from your heart ,don't know if it was intended for me to hear
but it constantly lullabies me to sleep I cant get it out of my ear.
some nights my soul sings to the sky wishing that the wind blew a signal your way
so you could see how much this harlequin cares really really just wish this dream could stay.
pray that you find your way
you woke me from yet another death.breathed into me another breath
showed me how to walk yet another step
your preciousness not even alzheimers could forget
beg of you please don't turn a deaf ear to what I'm about to say
may a thousand curses annihilate my heart if you find any ill intentions in any single way
please promise me that in your own time, someday
you will open your eyes ,
realize that you've always been an angel in disguise
take care of your heart, guard it, open the treasures inside you
let the love that resonates in your soul guide you
your peace and well being is all that matters to me
before i met you I was blind and now you're all that I see.
if life doesn't grant me....
the privilege to be with my longing's desire
when this body departs, a spirit will linger, shivering for the warmth of your fire
only if you wanted me to, if not I'll just creep back in my igloo
make it my duty to watch over you
I'm sorry that this is so creepy there's just nothing I can do, to keep myself from absolutely adoring you.
*This poem is pretty old but found it the other day and figured I'd throw it on here.
