The War of Love

The war of love tripped me
And dipped me into it's whirlwind of fights, sleepless nights
Peace and fright, blurred sight, wrong and right
And right when I thought I was right outta there
I realized that I had just entered
I lost my arm in the war of love from
Continuously holding onto good times smiles and laughs
And stacks and stacks of happiness
Accumulated over my most painful days
My legs weakened over the years and over the tears
And over the fears of failure
Running and running after whatever love has turned my vision
In the hateful direction of
Expecting the journey to grow easier
A footlong stitching decorates my back from lack of vision
See I was stabbed in it multiple times by
Lies secrets, dishonesty, mistrust, distrust
this trust is completely shattered to teeth
Battered and beat
Theres simply no such thing anymore
The only thing that's survived, demolished and
Drenched in black and still managed to strive
Is my heart...no longer for the taking
I AM ALIVE!
