You lied
You swore
You bashed me
You broke me
You belittled me
You hurt me
The Daughter
I believed
I swore back
I bled
I shattered
I belittled myself
I hurt myself
The Lover
You spoke truth
You never whispered one bad word
You touched me gently
You built me
You say I outsmart you
You say you'd never hurt me
But my love, so much anger exists in me,
I'm afraid I could hurt you.

When you've been hurt for so long, your mentality changes. For me, I'd hate to hurt anyone. With the way I am, I'd rather stay far away than stay near and cause them heartache. At some point I'm gonna need help - I can't expect it to happen for long. It would destroy me.
