It's sad but true
My dad is a dead- beat one.
It's sad but it's true
My mom is leaving him.
It's sad but it's true.
I'm glad she is.
It's sad but it's true
My mom's boyfriend I've know for a month is more of a dad to me.
It's sad but it's true.
He is easier to get along with.
People tell me a should be sad
That I should feel something about my mom leaving my dad.
But people don't understand how I feel.
But I'm tired of putting on a smiling face and I will be real.
I love my dad but he doesn't act like dad
This makes me really mad.

This might be bad.

He is great to me and toher.
Way nicer than my father.

a painful tale of a twisted heartache due to not feelings as deep of a love from your father than what you receive from your mothers boyfriend.
this poem is filled with raw emotion and the repetition of 'It's sad but it's true, gives the poem a real edge.. almost like an aching heartbeat.
great write... a few typos here and there but with a little editing this poem could have great potential :) xx
