A faithful friend
Misery my dearest muse
I fear your lessons I've abused
You see
The company you've given me
Has woken who I wish to be
And though you've told me time and again
I still find love
A faithful friend
Misery please
Understand
I know you wish to hold my hand
And one day I might
Return again
But just for now
Let me pretend
That love has been my faithful friend
For she is warm
With good intent
Though so much time
With you was spent
Misery
My dear old friend
Please
Give love and I some time to spend
I fear your lessons I've abused
You see
The company you've given me
Has woken who I wish to be
And though you've told me time and again
I still find love
A faithful friend
Misery please
Understand
I know you wish to hold my hand
And one day I might
Return again
But just for now
Let me pretend
That love has been my faithful friend
For she is warm
With good intent
Though so much time
With you was spent
Misery
My dear old friend
Please
Give love and I some time to spend
