Too Little Too Late

I heard you say your sorry
I see you are sincere
I want to move past this
I'm tired of the tears

I know you love me
I'm still in love with you
Over 5 years together
We always made it through

I wish you didn't do this
You were careless with my heart
I warned you many times...
You're driving us apart

I can't force the feelings
Nothing left to fill the hole
I feared this day was coming
it's out of my control

Don't give me Excuses
All are irrelevant
Talking it right
the thing I most resent

You were part of my future
Thought you'de always be there
You stole what I cherrish most
The love I thought we share

You struggled saying sorry
You never took the blame
Your pride came before me
Scared of feeling shame

Happenings shape feelings
Your ways provoke reaction
Why keep on fighting?
If there is no more attraction

Love isn't rational
There's no directing fate
You took us for graunted
And now it's far tol late

I hoped you would get it
But I never saw you try
Now you make the effort
Just as I say goodbye

Sincerely, Tamara
