Letter To My Dear Grandpa.
Dear Grandpa.
I miss you. Is heaven a good place ?
I suppose an eternal escape from earth serves a good will.
Traps the pains that solemly pained your heart.
The loss of a wife.
The loss of greedy children, walking Earth still.
Do you miss us ? Probably every day.
How shameful is it that we don't think
of you as much...do not punish us.
But see, I do think of you.
Maybe not everyday, but to spare my deeds,
I think of you.
I think of the unnatural blue eyes that captured a rusty soul.
I think of your round framed antique specs that you never replaced.
I think of the same clothing you'd repeat daily...it was unorthodox in your manner as time went by.
You painted the wrongs of
the world, only to paint a beautiful
pattern of "bad times aren't permanent"
Just for us.
You lived your beautiful and carefully painted portrait.
Your children wronged you but acclaimed your spirit
as that of a living god.
You were our god. On earth.
Your God needed a second ancient of peace.
You were the chosen one.
You got the promotion, & willingly left
your weak soldiers behind.
To attack for themselves.
But you taught them well.
Greater than those who claim a life of riches.
You taught them love.
Tears stream my warm cheeks now,
I think it's best I stop here before
a waterfall forms before my eyes...
Hey grandpa, did I mention that I miss you .. ?
