Marriage gone wrong
On my journey of this thing called life
I married a man became his wife
Many years would bring about
Three beautiful children I could never live with out
No one knew about the hell I would go through
Even I didn't have a clue
All the abuse was more then I could bare
As the children listened unseemly scared
Years would pass unlike the abuse
Pondering the pros and cons hunting for possible clues
I finely decided it was time
Before to long I'd be hitting my prime
So four years ago I filed for divorce
No hard feelings of anger or remorse
Now I'm single enjoying my life
Extremely excited to be no longer his wife
I married a man became his wife
Many years would bring about
Three beautiful children I could never live with out
No one knew about the hell I would go through
Even I didn't have a clue
All the abuse was more then I could bare
As the children listened unseemly scared
Years would pass unlike the abuse
Pondering the pros and cons hunting for possible clues
I finely decided it was time
Before to long I'd be hitting my prime
So four years ago I filed for divorce
No hard feelings of anger or remorse
Now I'm single enjoying my life
Extremely excited to be no longer his wife

I LOVE it! I'm an excited "ex-wife" now too (Well, soon to be)..lol. A great feeling when all of the rest that was horrible has finally come to an end. Wonderful.

This is a great poem. I'm glad you were able to take your kids and go. I have yet to be able to find the strength.

You will! It takes a lot of time and patients. Don't wait to long. I think that might have been a mistake I wish I could change. Good Luck!
