No Place in Your Life
I searched all the rooms of your life
in all the places dark and light
but could not find my place
I wandered from room to room
touched every surface, sat in every chair
but could not find a fit
When my time was up
I walked out the door
and down the path
I only looked back but once
in all the places dark and light
but could not find my place
I wandered from room to room
touched every surface, sat in every chair
but could not find a fit
When my time was up
I walked out the door
and down the path
I only looked back but once

Wistful, with resigned acceptance...
Sometimes, when someone we love has moved on, we need that one final moment to be convinced....
Creatively clever metaphor!
Precisely Penned!

while you were looking thru my life
but didn't find a place to settle
cause you missed a spot to look for me and you
that place of luv in your heart
This has left me feeling so sad. I can't imagine anyone not wanting to luv you! :(

Leaving someone behind either
by choice or circumstance
is always bittersweet.

Moving forward is good. Nicely written.
There is one picture on your tumblr page I particularly like. Almost like a sunburst in one corner. Is there a poem for that one?

I'm not sure which painting you mean. If you click on the + sign in the upper right hand corner, you'll see the name of the painting. If I haven't paired it with a poem, I will just for you.

The image of wandering the inner rooms of a beloved person, looking for a comfortable and warm place to settle is beautiful. To have to empty that place and leave for good is as suffocating as being buried alive. You seem to have so much to give, looking into your poems.

I have very few friends, but the ones I do have
I think of as family. To them I will give whatever I have.
