On The Hunt

Words bind together as the clocks hands tick like dripping molasses
Honey where the honeybees dwell drips onto your tongue
Everything around you spins as his scent slowly descends
You run like rabbit through the bush
Looking for something, she saw
You find nothing there but soft well-ridden crimson air

In searching for this what, you find disappointment
Nothing in your world seems right
The light shines through and through and the grass seems green to you
Something that clicks like a talent you never knew you had
Is missing in the raindrop dew

What should you do?
When you know that, something you love is gone
Stuck in this mist of clues
When the trees sway slow and the music does not flow
Where is the key to turn?

Hold up your looking glass
Glare at the sun
Ask all your crystal balls
Try to have some fun

Stars and moon shine like frozen lightning bolts
As you spot the key that can open all the vaults
However you still don’t want the easy way out
Its too much to bare
When you know he wont be there

Standing with arms open you dream and hope with care
Only then he fades away with one swift of air
He's moved on to another piece of cake
Why should you put another lesson learned at stake

What should you do?
When you know that, something you love is gone
Stuck in this mist of clues
When the trees sway slow and the music does not flow
Where is the key to turn?

Hold your chin up high
End it with a smile
Take on the other loves
Thank the wind awhile

For if this all were gone what would you have
Have to find
Love to bind
Wind to kiss
Rain to drive...

What should you do?
When you know that, something you love is gone
Stuck in this mist of clues
When the trees sway slow and the music does not flow
Where is the key to turn?

Look for another key
Llive life till your found
Take one more step to find
Cure that deep love cut
