Never
You said I could tell you anything
and I believed you
everything I felt... I told you
but there is one thing I can never tell you,
one thing I will never say:
goodbye
and I believed you
everything I felt... I told you
but there is one thing I can never tell you,
one thing I will never say:
goodbye

Re: Never
I love this. That's a word I seldom say, but when I do....it's a sad day. Oh, I like the painting. You are a talent. :)

Very true. That's why I tend
towards the shorter poems
(both reading and writing).
Attention spans are so short
these days.

I struggled with this poem.
I wrote it weeks ago and
finally decided to release it
into to wild, as it were.

Unfortunately, I had to do this recently...probably one of the hardest things I've ever done and for my 5 year old daughter, even harder.

Whenever that treasured loved one leaves our lives--no matter the reason--in our hearts we can never, ever truly tell them goodbye.
(Swallowing past the fistful of pain in my throat, and wiping at the tears flowing down my cheeks.)
Your lovely, heart-breaking piece has touched me soul-deep. </3
Penned With Pain ---From Heart to Parchment.
(You-- the amazing artist, and[i-- the humble muse]...pairing this exquisite painting, with your beautiful poem--you have doubly honored me, to be sure. Thank You. xoxo)

Thank you for your heartfelt comments.
Finding the right image to pair with
a poem isn't so easy. I'm glad you
were pleased.

The placement of the last line
was a final, spur of the moment
change. Glad you liked it.

The merge between feelings and words is so very tight. It's like putting the soul inside out. Needless to say that love it.
