I Will Protect You.
I watched you tremble,
So I held onto you in the dark.
I felt fierce with the knife in my hand,
So I promised to protect you.
We were in the dark that night,
But you saw that my love grew bright.
That one cold night,
I held you until your tears became warm.
And then they dried out.
Every breath I took was to secure you.
So I clutched my knife.
And we sat there and waited.
You knew that I'd kill off your fright
So slowly you stopped your tremors.
Then you weren't afraid
But I still held you close.
The last time you'd ever cry like you did.
So we kept this moment in our hearts
So I held onto you in the dark.
I felt fierce with the knife in my hand,
So I promised to protect you.
We were in the dark that night,
But you saw that my love grew bright.
That one cold night,
I held you until your tears became warm.
And then they dried out.
Every breath I took was to secure you.
So I clutched my knife.
And we sat there and waited.
You knew that I'd kill off your fright
So slowly you stopped your tremors.
Then you weren't afraid
But I still held you close.
The last time you'd ever cry like you did.
So we kept this moment in our hearts
