Beauty In Sorrow
You look so pretty when you cry
The way your face flushes
And yet turns a gentle red
Your quiet sobs underneath your heavy blanket
Your wimpers, your gasps
You just look so pretty when you cry
You've given up on all your hope
You've thrown it down the drain
You lie in bed with no recall
On how you even got there
Because everything's a foggy blur
When your eyes are filled with tears
But I love the way you cry
Is it selfish to think this way?
Enjoy watching your show
I like to see your long brown hair
Matted and caught between you fingers
As you let the make up run
Tears running down your checks
And drip off your chin
Life means no more to you
You're tired of being mistreated
So don't worry darling, I'll be your shoulder
When the tears start to fall
Because honey, can't you see
You look so pretty when you cry
The way your face flushes
And yet turns a gentle red
Your quiet sobs underneath your heavy blanket
Your wimpers, your gasps
You just look so pretty when you cry
You've given up on all your hope
You've thrown it down the drain
You lie in bed with no recall
On how you even got there
Because everything's a foggy blur
When your eyes are filled with tears
But I love the way you cry
Is it selfish to think this way?
Enjoy watching your show
I like to see your long brown hair
Matted and caught between you fingers
As you let the make up run
Tears running down your checks
And drip off your chin
Life means no more to you
You're tired of being mistreated
So don't worry darling, I'll be your shoulder
When the tears start to fall
Because honey, can't you see
You look so pretty when you cry
