Myriad Lies
love did falter
a heart shimmering
in the pouring rain
dark cloudy days
outside in the park
where you use to play
you managed to slip away
on cloud nine full of grace
just another fix
and you'll be alright
the day wouldn't be
without the night
nor your face be beautiful
if i didn't have eyes
love that we use to adore
has become nothing more
than a myriad of lies
a heart shimmering
in the pouring rain
dark cloudy days
outside in the park
where you use to play
you managed to slip away
on cloud nine full of grace
just another fix
and you'll be alright
the day wouldn't be
without the night
nor your face be beautiful
if i didn't have eyes
love that we use to adore
has become nothing more
than a myriad of lies
