pappy

spoiled, sour
Wild Irish Rose
fumbling in the dark
while I pretend to doze

putrid breath panting
fervent, loud and hot
I curl my body inwards
hoping I'm not caught

mouth like a gray gash

old lips, rough and dry
caked in spittle and regrets
I’m phlegmatic and cannot cry

sin and decay, sweetly cloying

his clothing reeks of mold
I don’t think I was very good
but I am only four years old.
