The Journey Through a Wicked World
At the age of seventeen
I am realizing rather quickly
How much darkness surrounds us
This world is not as it is said to be
I want to see the oceans
Stand on a cliff over looking the vast waters
Closing my eyes
Feeling the wind blow the hair from my face
The oceans mist kiss my cheeks ever so lightly
The call of the birds and sea lions to their partners
I want to climb the mountains
Feeling the cold seep through my layers
As I stand atop the world
Staring at universes creation
I wish to journey to the north
To see the Northern Lights
As well as
The un-polluted star blazen skies
I hear that the Northern Lights
Are like rivers of different colors
Dancing with each other across the heavens
No one to tell them no or where to go
They move how ever they wish
No plans, they just move as their hearts command
The star blazen skies
For me is like the warmth of the sun
Multiplied ten fold
But it is a pleasure for only the eyes
If olny I could describe it
All I can say is, I would rather die than never be able to see their beauty
I want to backpack across eastern Europe
I want to experience the thrill of Ireland
Listen to the accents
Hear the folklore
I want to see the rolling planes
Like oceans of green grass
But most of all
In this lifetime
In this messed up wicked world
What I want to experience
Is the love
Of a woman that will be with me through everything
If I do nothing else in this world
Except find my match
Then I can die
With no regrets
Live for today
Because you may not be here tomorrow
I am realizing rather quickly
How much darkness surrounds us
This world is not as it is said to be
I want to see the oceans
Stand on a cliff over looking the vast waters
Closing my eyes
Feeling the wind blow the hair from my face
The oceans mist kiss my cheeks ever so lightly
The call of the birds and sea lions to their partners
I want to climb the mountains
Feeling the cold seep through my layers
