Perfection
No one knows
whats going on inside
but shes so insecure
and shes trying to hide
Her thoughts are corrupted
by magazines and t.v
she doesn't know who she is
or who she should be
She leans over the toilet
and gets rid of the pain
and all the imperfections
go down the drain
Things aren't the same
the way they were before
she thought she could stop
but she can't anymore
She feels so pathetic
and so incomplete
she's weak with hunger
can barely stay on her feet
The word FAT engraved
into her mind
she's losing her grip
starting to unwind
She can't take the looks
from people around
she gets nervous and sick
her head starts to pound
Disappointment dwells
deep inside her heart
she's destroying herself
and tearing her life apart
She's given up all hope
she's eating less and less
she doesn't know what she's become
her life is a mess
She knows that she's sick
she know's she can't win
not until shes perfect
not until shes thin
**NOTE**
This was written for my Best Friend, Madison, who recently died due to Bulimia.
