Lonely
I lay awake full of regret
For the things I never did
And for the things I never said
Never will I dare contest you
Or to think to even compare
Your love with mine
For now I know
Love is blind
And life isn't fair
You were my everything
But still I was too proud
To admit the truth that
You were my light in a world full of despair
How could I get it back?
What would I say to make you feel how you felt once before again?
I guess it's destiny that we'd depart one day
And never look back.
I knew you'd be happy without me.
Inevitably the truth I couldn't accept.
Pain, hurt, loneliness,
I lay awake, by myself, trembling, cold
in ghastly fears.
I am truly alone.
For the things I never did
And for the things I never said
Never will I dare contest you
Or to think to even compare
Your love with mine
For now I know
Love is blind
And life isn't fair
You were my everything
But still I was too proud
To admit the truth that
You were my light in a world full of despair
How could I get it back?
What would I say to make you feel how you felt once before again?
I guess it's destiny that we'd depart one day
And never look back.
I knew you'd be happy without me.
Inevitably the truth I couldn't accept.
Pain, hurt, loneliness,
I lay awake, by myself, trembling, cold
in ghastly fears.
I am truly alone.
