Estella
Estella who I have always loved
Battered my being against her cold, hard heart
Like a moth uselessly flinging itself
Against a light never lit
Estella who I have always needed
Maybe a vindictive lust to put myself down?
Like a bird that knows the trial of flight
But flies flock less
Estella who I have never hurt
Cuts me into obscure pieces of myself
How do I feel so strongly about one
Who swears no feelings
Who breaks through my patterns
Who blows my cover
Who destroys my composure
Who rushes my hand
Who rushes my heart
Who brings my tears
Estella who I have always loved
Your emptiness fills the greatest part of me
Like the air within heaving lungs
Just enough to live
Battered my being against her cold, hard heart
Like a moth uselessly flinging itself
Against a light never lit
Estella who I have always needed
Maybe a vindictive lust to put myself down?
Like a bird that knows the trial of flight
But flies flock less
Estella who I have never hurt
Cuts me into obscure pieces of myself
How do I feel so strongly about one
Who swears no feelings
Who breaks through my patterns
Who blows my cover
Who destroys my composure
Who rushes my hand
Who rushes my heart
Who brings my tears
Estella who I have always loved
Your emptiness fills the greatest part of me
Like the air within heaving lungs
Just enough to live
